Some of our Successes
Child Safe Principles
Time to Change provided hands-on project management and expert advice to embed *Child Safe Principles* and support a non-government organisation to achieve accreditation, as recommended by the Royal Commission. Accreditation signifies that an organisation has demonstrated child-safeguarding capacity and is meeting legislative requirements. We completed a full risk assessment and organisational review of organisational standard and processes for responding to child safety risks and minimising potential harm to children and young people.
Our strategy for achieving certification included:
- Offering tools and advice to develop and strengthen organisational policies and procedures, benchmarked against best practices and minimum standards.
- Working within the current project plan, delivered on time and within budget.
- Developing a clear organisational plan focused on implementing the project plan and *National Principles for Child Safe Organisation WA*.
- Identifying and mitigating areas of risk against child-safe principles.
Evaluation and Monitoring Project for Non-Government Organisation
TTC was engaged to conduct the Evaluation and Monitoring Project for a non-government organisation. The project evaluated the success and outcomes of a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) through their Coordinated Support and Flexible Funding for People with Severe, Persistent Mental Illness and Complex Needs initiative. This program aimed to improve care coordination for over 20,000 individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
The project involved developing minimum data set requirements for new services, analysing routinely collected service and Government agency data, and conducting extensive fieldwork. This fieldwork spanned across two years and included online surveys, 600 semi-structured interviews, and over 40 site visits, involving clients, carerservice providers, and peak bodies.
Development of a Primary Mental Health Stepped Care Model
TTC facilitated the development of a stepped care model for primary mental health services in rural NSW. Our approach involved close collaboration with our client to engage stakeholders across the region through both face-to-face and online consultations, supported by the development of a discussion paper.
Our work delivered a comprehensive model that definitively outlines the optimal state of primary mental health infrastructure, workforce, and systems. This model ensures the delivery of precise, timely services to individuals with mental health needs, setting a new standard for care in the region.
